Meet Mrs. Rembold....
HISTORY: I have lived in Baker since 1983 when I moved here after marrying my husband Rick, a third grade teacher at Brooklyn Elementary School. Previously I taught physical education and art at a one-school district called Cottrell, just outside Sandy, Oregon, for seven years. I graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a degree in Physical Education and Health a LONG time ago and got my masters in education from L&C as well. I coached volleyball, basketball, and tennis in the Baker School District for over 15 years before returning to full-time teaching.
MY FAMILY: My husband and I have two sons, now in their twenties. Jed, the oldest, is currently obtaining his doctorate in astrophysics in New Mexico. He wants to be a college professor. Our younger son, Luke, is currently living in Tucson, Arizona, serving as a Young Adult Volunteer with the Presbyterian Church. He is helping to repair homes for low-income families. Both boys played alot of tennis in Baker and at Linfield College, where they went to school. Son Jed loves Star Wars and was the source of much of the computer lab decorations!
WHAT I LIKE: I like to bake bread and other goodies, create all sorts of art, work in my garden, read books, sing, and spend time in the beautiful mountains that surround us. We hike and camp alot. Specifically? I like the colors teal and orange, artichokes and pork chops, tootsie rolls, and all sorts of flowers! I collect hummingbirds and frogs. I like abstract art, especially Cubism. I can type pretty fast! And I have had a wonderful time filling the art room with all that TENNIS ART!
