It's been a busy summer: 4 weddings with my sons involved in all of them in some way (never as groom, however!) Trip to the coast for two weeks, drive up the Al-Can to Fairbanks, Alaska, and flight back East to Pittsburgh, PA. The last trip was a great family time for a sad reason: a memorial service for my husband Rick's father who passed away late in June. The picture is sunset behind Denali in Alaska as we flew the first leg of our journey home. Awesome experience!
I discovered Andy Warhol images on the walls of the airport of Pittsburgh. I took hundreds of flower closeups ready for another project on Georgia O'Keefe. I gathered ideas for projects everywhere. I practiced my Pablo Picasso techniques with an 8 year old in Alaska. And I developed new computer skills as I blogged my travels away on Blogger.
I'll be anxious to hear what all my students have been doing for the summer!
